About the AuthorBeverly Burnley earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Harris Stowe Teachers College in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Title I teacher in the East St. Louis (Illinois) public schools, she has used models and representations to teach mathematics to gifted and remedial students in grades 1 through 6 for more than thirtythree years. While instructing entire classrooms in a computer lab environment, she created a unique teaching strategy that supports the math standards and increases students' computer proficiency levels.
