Publisher Comments:

The hugely popular early chapter book series re-emerges with a new look! Brand-new eye-catching cover art brings a modern feel to this classic monster series for young readers.

It's springtime and the carnival is making its annual visit to Bailey City. Amidst the people working at the fair is a strange, stout woman with crazy red hair. The more the kids learn about this woman — she hates loud noises, says trolls are her friends, can't stand the sun, and is always around when rides stop working — the more certain they are that this woman is an evil troll who is there to ruin their carnival. Can the kids trick this troll into doing a good deed, thereby transforming her into a good troll, before she ruins everything?

Synopsis:

Eddie and his friends are having a blast at the spring carnival. But a tiny woman who sells t-shirts is scaring some of them away--she's got bright red hair, pointy ears, a squeaky voice, and yells at the kids--just like a mean troll.

My kids enjoyed this book. They are 13 and 9. I was going to read a chapter a night but kept going. They were excited to see how it ended. They loved it.
