About the Author

 Bud Smith is a million-selling author and was an Apple employee for seven years. He has extensive experience writing books and documentation about computers, the Web, Google, and mobile devices, including smartphones. Current titles include: Sams Teach Yourself iPad in 10 Minutes and Using the Apple iPad.

 

In 2009, Bud wrote three books: WordPress In Depth, a book from Que about the leading blogging platform; Google Business Solutions All-In-One For Dummies, 900 pages covering Google’s application offerings; and Google Voice For Dummies, the first book about Google’s breakthrough new voice service. Bud is also author of Creating Web Pages For Dummies, now in its 9th Edition, and Que’s Computer Buyer’s Guide, which covered PCs, Macs, peripherals, and software.

 

Bud is launching iPad Content Review, a blog covering various kinds of content for the iPad. This will give him an ongoing platform for addressing the latest news about, and best products for the iPad.

Bud has worked as a Group Product Manager, management consultant, and similar roles for Apple; AltaVista; GPS innovator Navman; HSBC; and other leaders. Bud holds a BA in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco and an MSc in Information Systems from the London School of Economics.
