Meet the World's Funniest Kindergartner—Junie B. Jones!

With over 50 million books in print, Barbara Park's New York Times bestselling chapter book series, Junie B. Jones, is a classroom favorite and has been keeping kids laughing—and reading—for over 20 years! In the 8th Junie B. Jones book, Junie B. knows there's no such thing as monsters. Mother and Daddy even said so. But then why is there monster drool on Junie B.'s pillow? Oh, no! What if Paulie Allen Puffer is right—what if she really does have a monster under her bed? If Junie B. goes to sleep, the monster might see her feet hanging down. And he might think her piggy toes are yummy little wiener sausages!

Synopsis:

Paulie Allen Puffer said there's a drooling monster under Junie B.'s bed. It creeps onto her pillow at night and practices putting her head in its mouth. Thanks Paulie! Now poor Junie B. is having her worst-est night ever!

About the Author

Barbara Park is one of today's funniest and best-loved writers for middle graders. Her novels, which include Dear God, HELP!!! Love Earl; Skinnybones; The Kid in the Red Jacket; and Mick Harte Was Herehave won numerous children's book awards.
Barbara thinks that the wonderful thing about writing humor is that she is able to deal with serious issues in a more lighthearted way.
Barbara's fans always want to know whether or not her characters are based on her own children (she has two sons) — in fact, they are not. But having her sons has made it easier for her to know how kids talk and think.
What matters most to Barbara is that her books are bringing a few smiles to her readers.
Barbara lives in Paradise Valley, Arizona, with her husband, Richard. She holds a B.S. from the University of Alabama.
