The illustrations in this book are wonderful. I felt like each character was a child who I personally know. This book captures four things kids do and what they really look like doing it! I love it.

My three girls loved this book along with the three other books in the series. They memorized the words and they enjoyed reading along with me as I read the books to them. Helen Oxenbery's illustrations are heartwarming. She draws children from different cultures and she uses vibrant colors. Young children can understand the simplicity of the text and they enjoy the repetition of the words.
