He's had solo exhibitions in such museums as the Tate Gallery, London (1984), the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York (1986), and the Mus<'e>e Nationale D'art Moderne, Paris (1989), among others. Illustrations of his work are interspersed with an interview by Molly Nesbit (Vassar College), a survey by German art critic Walter Grasskamp (Academy of Fine Arts, Munich), an essay concentrating on a single piece of work written by Jon Bird (Middlsex U., London), an influential literary piece chosen by the artist (his choice is Bertolt Brecht), and a chronology charting exhibitions, projects, and their reception.
