Jerry Scott, the writing side of the duo, is also cocreator of the renowned Baby Blues strip. In 2002 Jerry was awarded the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year. He lives in Malibu, Calif., with his wife and two daughters.

Jim Borgman earned the 1991 Pulitzer for Editorial Cartooning, and is the only cartoonist to win the National Cartoonists Society's Best Editorial Cartoonist Award four times. Jim is married, and draws Zits in the middle of a six-lane freeway of teenage activity (he has four) in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he also finds time to draw for the Cincinnati Enquirer.
