My young granddaughter came to me while her mother was on duty with the Navy for 3 months. I had no clue what was troubling her and making her behave with such defiance. Finding this book was a relief. I learned how to deal with her successfully and teach her how to recognize her own behavior triggers. The approach is positive, loving and possible. No more yelling or anger from either of us! Her mother now has her in counseling and on meds for ODD. She is doing well.
