< b>A Newbery Award Nominee< br>An ALA Best Book for Young Adults< /b>< P>Pete slipped right out of the world he'd shared with his parents, and, for a time, none of them knew it. After all, Pete was still 13, mowing lawns, hanging around with his best friend, Rufus. Who would have known? James W. Carson, for one. From the moment their eyes met along the 19-21 bypass, Peter Cassidy was his. The Man had hitchhiked to town like some legendary hero, a lasso of words spinning about him, drawing Pete many others in tight.< P>Available only in The Literacy Bridge 5.

It was a very inspiring and wonderful story. I can easily relate with the primary character, Pete because in this time of our lives, our world seems to be full of questions and we are confused of what to believe or lean on to. This story further emphasized God's role on a teenager's life and how teenagers deal with God's presence within them.
