About the Author

Weighed in the Balance is author Anne Perry's seventh novel featuring investigator William Monk and his friends nurse Hester Latterly and barrister Sir Oliver Rathbone. Among her other popular William Monk novels are A Sudden, Fearful Death; Defend and Betray; Cain His Brother; and The Silent Cry. She also writes the series of Victorian mysteries featuring Thomas Pitt and his wife, Charlotte. These include Ashworth Hall; Pentecost Alley; which was nominated for an Edgar Award, Traitors Gate; The Hyde Park Headsman; Highgate Rise, and a dozen others.
