I'm 47 years old, happen to be browsing the kids books at Barnes&Noble looking for another and ran across this beloved book from my very early childhood years. This was one of those moments when you stand in a type of awareness that says "this is familiar, this was wonderful". I didn't remember the whole story, so I sat right down and flipped through the familiar pages, remembering why I loved it so. The pictures were incredible, the drawing of "Sam" reminded me of "me" when I was little...but the story is amazing and heartfelt. I was taken back to a time that I hadn't remembered, like hearing a song from way back when. I just loved the story, illustrations, and the title is just so fun to say, you want to know what it's about. Loved it then and love it now.
