An excellent collection of materials both familiar and new. A richly expressive reference volume for researchers and/or spiritual pilgrims. Also valuable for the intensely curious, whether Pagan or Christian, as it explores a time of transition in the early phases of Christianity when it was heavily influenced by local practices.
