The "Huntington Manuscript 2111" in The Henry Huntington Library is Percy Bysshe Shelley's working notebook from 1821 to 1822 just before his death. The facsimile and transcriptions contain four late lyrics, an incomplete dream poem, fragments, translation of scenes from El magico prodigioso by Calderon, and an abstract for the first two acts of Charles the First. The introductory notes and scholarly explication are very professional, and the reproductions are of high quality. However, from a writer's point of view, the primary delight is seeing Shelley's notes and doodles in his own hand. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
