Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

The Federalist is the clearest insight into what the Founding Fathers really meant. This special volume is taken from the rare 1864 edition edited by John Church Hamilton, Alexander Hamilton's son. It includes a number of Hamiltonian documents, including his "Continentalist" essays, which served as a precursor to The Federalist, as well as his plan for the new government.

Synopsis:

With the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, The Federalist is among the most important political documents in American history. The Federalist represents the clearest insight into what our country's founding fathers truly intended. Originally published as a series of articles written under the penname Publius, The Federalist not only secured public support for the Constitution, it also helped succeeding generations understand the original intent of the founders.

The Federlist is Volume IV in the Conservative Leadership Series by Regnery Publishing.

Synopsis:

With the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, The Federalist is among one of the most important political documents in American history.

I have the hardback version and I like it, including the bookmark ribbon. I do wish the content was also available on CD, which would be handy for searching and for citing portions in a paper. The content is of course excellent and should be mandatory in high schools and universities.
