Publisher Comments:

It's the seventh grade "outdoor education trip" to Lake Rescue! Adventure girl Charlotte's excited; city girls Katani and Isabel are not so sure. Of course, outdoor sports are right up Avery's alley, but bugs, snakes, and bears are so not up Maeve's. andlt;BRandgt; andlt;BRandgt; But no self-respecting BSG wants to miss out on adventures, and the week at Lake Rescue has more than its share: rock climbing, an unfortunate canoeing incident for a Queen of Mean, a hike that turns dangerous — and the chance for one classmate to discover strengths she didn't know she had.

Synopsis:

Big time adventure awaits the Beacon Street Girls and the rest of their seventh-grade class. The seventh-grade class is heading to Lake Rescue in Vermont for their big overnight trip. How cool Maeve and Katani are afraid of spiders and things that go bump in the night, but Avery is ready for some serious wild animal sightings and hiking, while Isabel is hoping for scenic inspiration for her next painting. Will the physical challenges of this outdoor adventure prove too challenging for one overweight seventh-grade girl?

About the Author

The Beacon Street Girls books are inspired by all the preteen girls I've ever known. I wanted to create a world where girls can go to have fun and learn about who they are, while modeling real-life experiences. The first book, Worst Enemies/Best Friends, explores creating and testing friendships, skewed first impressions, and being the new kid at school. In the end, true friendship conquers all. Welcome to the world of the BSG!
