Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along.

With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

Review:

"Fitzpatrick debuts with a gripping chiller where humans become pawns in the hands of fallen angels. Nora Grey is assigned a new partner in her sophomore biology class. Her instincts tell her Patch is trouble, and she doesn't like the way he is already inside her head ('Part of me wanted to run away from him screaming, Fire! A more reckless part was tempted to see how close I could get without... combusting'). Soon she is questioning her sanity — she is attacked by a masked figure that smashes her car window, but later the glass is intact. And the same figure ransacks her bedroom, but everything is in place when the police arrive. The violence and danger escalate, and Nora learns that Patch is actually a fallen angel seeking to become human. Fitzpatrick regularly tweaks the tension, resulting in a fast-paced, exhilarating read. Nora's tempestuous relationship with prototypical bad boy Patch is genuinely, even unsettlingly, seductive — fans of paranormal romance should be rapt. Ages 14 — up." Synopsis:

In Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush, Hush sixteen-year old Nora finds forbidden love.

Synopsis:

Partnered in biology with new student Patch, 16-year-old Nora Gray starts seeing things she cannot explain. At first she's both drawn and repelled by her lab partner, but when she sees V-shaped scars on his back, Nora learns Patch is fighting an ancient battle between the fallen and the immortal.

Synopsis:

Life turned upside down for Maddy Montgomery when she found out she was half-Angel and was catapulted into the scene of flashbulbs, paparazzi, and the fervent adulation that comes with being in the celebrity Angel world. She's trying to juggle her ordinary life—high school, family, friends—with the intense demands of being in the public eye as heartthrob Angel Jackson Godspeed's girlfriend.

And now Maddy must face the most difficult choice of her life. She's been offered the chance to become a Guardian. This means entering into dangerous and high stakes training, with no guarantee that she can succeed. But more than that, it would mean leaving her mortal life behind—forever—and allying with the Angels at a time when their relationship with humans is heading for war. . . .

Synopsis:

Weeks after his crucifixion and rebirth as Phoenix, Ash Fisher believes his troubles are far behind him. He and Natalie are engaged and life seems good. But his happiness is short-lived when he receives a threatening visit from Purian Rose, who gives Ash an ultimatum: vote in favor of Rose’s Law permanently relegating Darklings to the wrong side of the wall or Natalie will be killed.

The decision seems obvious to Ash; he must save Natalie. But when Ash learns about The Tenth, a new and deadly concentration camp where the Darklings would be sent, the choice doesn’t seem so simple. Unable to ignore his conscience, Ash votes against Rose’s Law, signing Natalie’s death warrant and putting a troubled nation back into the throes of bloody battle.

If you love fallen angels or just angels, this book is for you. Nora has no clue the Patch is her guardian angel, but he does come in handy. This book shows us trust and love can come from the oddest places and people. This book as some slow parts and part that make you want to scream, but it's a brilliant story that leaves you guessing. The emotions in this book are brought out so well, you could almost feel them yourselves. Now, just don't go falling for a guy with wings. He may already have someone in his life.

He watches and waits. He knows and follows. He is your guardian.
There is a new guy at school. He is handsome but dark and mysterious. He is interested in you. But, here is the catch, he knows everything about you. He knows more than your closest friends. This is the relationship of Nora and Patch. Patch is the new kid at Nora's school. He is everywhere Nora is and she is scared. He watches her like he is her guardian angel. I really liked this book. It was very suspenseful and was a definite page turner. I loved the mystery and the chills I got while reading, Hush Hush. This book is intended for young adults. But anyone who wants to read about fallen angels or mythical people should definitely read, Hush Hush.
