Code Blue suffers from an identity crisis. Is it a medical book? Is it a thriller? Is it a romance? In his attempt at making the book "all of the above," Mabry has ended up with a book that may not appeal to the readers of any of the above three genres!

Having said that, the book kind of grows on the reader and you want to know what happens to Dr. Cathy Sewell who is suffering so many misfortunes all at once.
