Publisher Comments:

Praise for NEW ENGLAND HOME COOKING:

"What Paul Prudhomme did for Louisiana, Brooke Dojny does for New England! ... Brooke Dojny has created a bible of Yankee fare that is so much more than the proverbial bean and the cod. As we Americans discover the glories of our regional foodways, this loving ode to the cooking of the Northeast--plain and fancy, traditional and modern--is sure to become a necessary reference for all food lovers, wherever they may cook." (Jane and Michael Stern, authors of Roadfood and American Gourmet)

"New England Home Cooking is the most comprehensive work on the subject. It is a book I've long been waiting for--authoritative, anecdotal, and, most important, inclusive of all the ethnic strains that make New England cookery among the most varied in America." (John Mariani, author of The Italian-American Cookbook and The Encyclopedia of American Food & Drink)
