A great book for all elementary educators. Although Goertz is a Montessori teacher, the principles of inclusion, respect, community and independence that are discussed can and should be just as viable in a conventional educational setting.

This book is useful to all who work with early elementary children and experience the day to day challenges of guiding children toward independence in social relationships and problem solving.
