Publisher Comments:

In Torah as a Guide to Enlightenment, best-selling author Rabbi Gabriel Cousens presents an integration of the four levels of Torah interpretation with a focus on enlightenment, the original intention of the Jewish tradition.

Inspired by intense Torah studies and a variety of teachings from the great Torah sages, Rabbi Cousens offers the fifty-two parashas of the Torah as a practical path to liberation—rather than a theoretical discussion—explaining the actual process that gives us the essential purpose in life: to become completely absorbed into God. His interpretation provides a multidimensional understanding with an emphasis and perspective often missing from conventional Kabbalistic teachings. Torah as a Guide to Enlightenment conveys liberation understandings to anyone, no matter what their tradition, and provides a chance for people of the Judaic-Christian tradition to reconnect with their roots.
