Mike Mignola's Hellboy series is one of the best pieces of comics literature in the last 30 years. Mignola's artwork is highly original and superb, while the stories are inspired. Often retellings of classical fairy tales and mythology from around the world, Mignola's personal notes on the origination and inspiration of the stories and drawings adds a certain depth to the books that are often lacking in other graphic novels. This is not your average graphic novel, this is not the movie series, this is very exceptional art.

Yay Hellboy! Hellblazer challenges my sense of right and wrong. Hellboy makes me cheer and laugh as he beats up supernatural villains. Great escapism with gorgeous (as always) artwork.
