Publisher Comments:

After Stealing a million in investment cash, a desperate robber commandeers a hot air balloon at the local exposition, only to be lost in a raging storm.  The balloon was tracked to a high mountain area before going down.  When Police Chief McGinnis refuses to take Nancy on the recovery effort, she and the girls stowaway with the investment bankers, also climbing the mountain, in an effort to recover their funds.  Unfortunately, once the balloon is found, they learn that theyve hung out with the wrong group – the bankers were in on it with the robbers!

Stefan Petrucha has written “X-Files” comics and for Disney Comics.  He is the author of a few YA series: “Timetripper” (Razorbill), “Frankenstein” (DK Books), “Wicked Dead” with Thomas Pendleton (Harper Collins) and the young adult fiction title, Teen Inc. (Walker Books for Young Readers).

Sarah Kinney has written several Nancy Drew comics for Papercutz and for Disney Comics.

Even when Nancy Drew is hanging out with best friends Bess and George, the word-famous girl detective can't avoid trouble. It's like she's a danger magnet! This time she attracts a crook with a million dollars of stolen cash and Chief McGinnis in hot pursuit. So it's only natural that the thief decides to escape in Nancy's hot air balloon—except he doesn't want Nancy tagging along! Let's hope that what goes up can also come down . . . alive!

Papercutz is a graphic novel publisher that is building a following among the next generation of comics fans, giving classic characters a modern makeover. While educators rave about the high quality of the Papercutz writing and artwork, readers 8 and up are simply enjoying the great adventures found in each fun-filled volume. Each Papercutz graphic novel features comics stories drawn in the style of the popular Japanese comics known as manga.
