Fitzgerald offers genius financial advice-in an entertaining fashion. "The Great Gatsby" is the story of Nick, a war veteran of the Great War (WWI), who ventures to New York in order to learn the workings of the bonds business. Nick finds distaste towards his big-spender of a "new rich" neighbor; Gatsby. Gatsby frequently throws lavish parties in the hopes of impressing Daisy, Nick's cousin from the “old rich” part of town. Fitzgerald proves that it matters as much how long someone as been rich as how rich someone is.
