About the Author
Emily Stern is an associate professor of art at the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, New York and former chair of the Art Department. She has taught art and design and provided career advice to college students for over nineteen years. She received a BA in art from Yale University and an MFA in graphic design from Indiana University. An artist and designer, she exhibits her work nationally and internationally. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Ruth Zealand is an associate professor at the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, New York, where she serves as chair of the Education Department. She has taught at all levels, from pre-kindergarten to high school to undergraduate and graduate courses, and has acted as a special education supervisor and a principal. She received a BS in special education and elementary education from the University of Michigan and earned her master’s and PhD from Teachers College, Columbia University. She lives in New York City.
