Gerry Frank spent a good part of his life as chief of staff to the late Senator Mark Hatfield, visiting every corner of Oregon's geography on constituent swings. Coming from a department store family and with state roots before Oregon even was Oregon, he was pressured to write a book about the Meier & Frank Company, but he compromised with this special guide to Oregon musts. Gerry has also written for the Oregonian Travel Section for years.
