About the Author

Barbara Pastor (born in Majorca, Balearic Islands) has a PhD in Classic Philology from the University Complutense of Madrid. As a research professor at the University of Michigan and then later in Oxford and London, she published diverse articles in philology journals in Europe and the United States. In 1995 she received the Award for Research in Languages and Classic Literature from the American Philological Association.
