Kristina Mageau, August 8, 2012 (view all comments by Kristina Mageau)
A very fluid and interesting read, this book lays out the story of Angela Davis and how she came into her own powerful way of life. It gives the reader a better sense of history, politics, racism, inequalities, prison life, institutions, and who Angela Davis was. The book is a blend of the personal with the larger systems.
