A tiny book (3" X 4"), packed with challenging, original insight from one of the most intelligent and forceful spiritual thinkers of the 20th century. Written 55+ years ago, rooted very much in the Catholic (pre-Vatican II) tradition, but showing the wisdom of one who was to become a leader in interfaith dialogue, particularly with Zen Buddhism. The writing is simple but profound. Each of the short 4-5 mini-page chapters offers a rich place to start a day's time of contemplation and prayer.
