Publisher Comments:

#1 New York Times bestselling author Patricia Briggss Mercy Thompson series has been hailed as “one of the best” (Fiction Vixen). Now, Mercy must deal with an unwanted guest—one that brings a threat unlike anything shes ever known.

An unexpected phone call heralds a new challenge for Mercy. Her mate Adams ex-wife is in trouble, on the run from her new boyfriend. Adam isnt the kind of man to turn away a person in need—and Mercy knows it. But with Christy holed up in Adams house, Mercy cant shake the feeling that something about the situation isnt right.

Soon, her suspicions are confirmed when she learns that Christy has the farthest thing from good intentions. She wants Adam back and shes willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen, including turning Adams pack against Mercy.

Mercy isnt about to step down without a fight, but theres a more dangerous threat circling. Christys ex is more than a bad man—in fact, he may not be human at all. As the bodies start piling up, Mercy must put her personal troubles aside to face a creature with the power to tear her whole world apart.

I have truly enjoyed this entire series. The characters are rich, and the stories are very engaging.

In River Marked I liked the direction it took to introduce us to Mercy's "People." The majority of the series has been dominated by the people in her life, so it was interesting to learn more about her.

In addition, I found that the main battle was unexpected, and very detailed. It's definitely worth the read, but much like good potato chips... ya can't eat just one! Start at the beginning and work your way to this book. You won't regret it!

Patricia Brigg's Mercy novels have been an unfailing hit for me since the very first Moon Called. River Marked doesn't disappoint. I love the characters, the plot, I especially enjoy all of the pacific northwest landmarks used in the novels. Believe me, if you haven't read these, you are missing out.
