My daughter was a sophmore when she read "Forever" by Judy Blume for an Honors English assignment. The assignment was supposed to be on an author whose writing style was controversial. The public librarian suggested these books to me. Luckily it was a summer project and her and I read them together so we could discuss it. It is pretty much literally a how-to book on sex. Not something I would have chosen for my daughter to read. I was familiar with the Fudge and Double Fudge Books and Hey God It's me Alice which this book is definitely nothing like. So don't be fooled. This book is #8 of the 100 Most Challenged Books. Definitely read it first before and decide if your daughter is ready and should be reading this.
