Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Imagine a day when your swing swings you higher than the highest treetops. Imagine a day when you can ride your bike up a path of falling leaves into the very tree they are falling from. Imagine a day when you release a handful of blue balloons into a cloudy, gray sky to create a postcard-perfect day. Imagine a day when the ordinary becomes the extraordinary...a day when anything is possible. andlt;BRandgt;andlt;BRandgt;andlt;Iandgt;Imagine a Dayandlt;/Iandgt; is the companion book to the critically acclaimed andlt;Iandgt;Imagine a Nightandlt;/Iandgt;, which andlt;Iandgt;School Library Journalandlt;/Iandgt; declared "a fascinating foray into the imagination." Renowned Canadian artist Rob Gonsalves once again stretches the limits of visual exploration with his breathtaking paintings and encourages parents and children alike to look beyond the limits of the everyday world and imagine.

Synopsis:

This gorgeous companion to "Imagine a Night" takes readers into a world filled with magic--a place where ordinary objects morph from real to surreal, and where it becomes possible to believe in the impossible. Full color.

About the Author

After receiving an enthusiastic response at the 1990 Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, he began painting full time, and his work continues to be highly sought after. His first picture book was andlt;Iandgt;Imagine a Night,andlt;/Iandgt; and he currently lives in rural Ontario, Canada.andlt;Bandgt;Sarah L. Thomson'sandlt;/Bandgt; other books include andlt;Iandgt; The Dragon's Son,andlt;/Iandgt; which was named one of the best science fiction, fantasy, and horror books of 2001 by Voice of Youth Advocates; andlt;Iandgt;Stars and Stripes;andlt;/Iandgt; and andlt;Iandgt;Imagine a Night.andlt;/Iandgt; She lives in Maine.
