A darkly stunning examination of one woman's grief. Didion's sparse and direct writing style is always a joy to read, even when the subject matter is dark. Highly recommended for fans of Joan Didion and anyone who is interested in writing about grief that is honest without being syrupy.

It's really quite simple:
Just as one would expect from Didion - Nothing like the Didion one has read before.
Get - Read - Cry - Love.
(Repeat as necessary)

You'll thank yourself for it.
