Publisher Comments:

Twelve-year-old Chris is small for his age, so he has some trouble in the rink playing against bigger and rougher boys in the hockey league. But Chris isn't the only one getting razzed. His teammate, Derek, is an aggressive player who also happens to be the only African American in the league. Can Chris prove that size and race don't matter?

Synopsis:

Twelve-year-old Chris is small for his age, but he's been selected for the exclusive all-star traveling hockey team. It's not all fun and games because kids on opposing teams are bigger, and they pick on Chris. But Chris isn't the only one getting razzed--Derek, an aggressive player, is the only African-American in the league. Chris and Derek develop some powerful chemistry that make them a winning team.

Synopsis:

11 year old Chris is small for his age, so he can't believe it when he learns he's been selected for the all-star hockey team. It's not fun and games playing for the Arctic Wolves, however, as Chris and his teammate, Derek, find out.
