Publisher Comments:

Kyuuto! = Cute!

Savvy crafters know that today's hippest designs hail from Japan. But it's near to impossible to find translated patterns. Or at least it used to be. With Amigurumi, we're proud to present the one of the first two books in our brand new Kyuuto! Japanese Crafts line. Amigurumi features small knit and crocheted creatures so cute you could cry. This book enjoyed huge success on its home shores. The pages burst with quirky color photographs, step-by-step directions, and helpful technical illustrations. At last, the appeal of authentic Japanese content with the ease of English instruction. Stay tuned for more in coming seasons!

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I've made about a dozen little bears in various color combinations. It's given me a wonderful outlet. The pattern is such a great starting off point that I've been able to make slight alterations to create something entirely new. I've given one of these projects to everyone. A big bear for my nephew's baby, a little one for my mom, a lion for my niece and a costumed bear for my boss.
It is the best!

This is the best I have worked with on the subject. It allows me to expand on the field. I feel like a little girl as I work these up. A wonderful work on technique, color and possibilities.
