With the sheer abundance of parenting books on the market, there is good advice available for anyone who has questions about their own methods of raising their children. And yet, there are precious few books devoted to offering help to one of the most important and central figures in a child's life: mom. Author and long-time Buddhist Sarah Napthali did her best to remedy that situation with three prior bestselling books applying the principles of Buddhism to the busy and demanding lives of mothers. Now those three books are collected in "The Complete Buddhism for Mothers." So many women focus so exclusively on their children that they let their relationships with themselves and their partners suffer; this book offers ideas and techniques to help women become more joyful and relaxed when dealing with both themselves and everyone around them, offspring included. Napthali presents many of the basic tenants of Buddhism, and explains them in a way that is not only easy to understand but easy to apply to the real world. Quotes from the Buddha, various teachers and long-term practitioners, and other mothers help further illustrate the points. This is more than a self-improvement book; it's a well-detailed definition of what many mothers aspire to become, with all of the tools needed to get there.
