The Twenty-One Balloons is one of the most thoroughly enjoyable and imaginative children's books I've ever read! Du Bois relies heavily on creative and well-loved themes that are sure to please every person! No matter what age, if you want to take a break and dive in to a timeless adventure, filled with balloons, diamonds and volcanoes, then this book is perfect! Du Bois keeps the reader intrigued and in awe from the sheer talent that emanates from his brain and through his writing; as a result, to perfectly sum up this book, it rules!

I wish I read this book as a child because I am quite positive it would have made my imagination go absolutely wild. Unfortunately I did not read it until I was 22, though it still made my imagination go wild and entertained me immensely. This book is wonderful. It was written very well and has lots of fun diagrams and imaginary inventions. It almost reminded me of Dinotopia. This is the type of children's book that adults enjoy just as much as the kids. I recommend this to all!
