The Norton Field Guide to Writing with Handbook Cover

Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Small and handy, with color-coding that makes it easy for students to navigate. Written in everyday language, making it simple for them to understand. Just enough detail, with brief guides to writing that have color-coded links to specific pages where students can find more information if they need it. This and more has made The Norton Field Guidethe first rhetoric that"s easy for students to use.

Now available in a version with a handbook, providing everything students need to write. The Field Guideis up front, providing the guidance students need for writing all the kinds of discourse they need to write in college; the Handbook is in the back, helping them to edit what they write.

Synopsis:

Fully updated 2009 MLA documentation guidelines with revised templates that show students how to cite sources using the current style.

Synopsis:

The most successful new rhetoric in a generation, now in a version with a handbook--everything students need to write and edit all the kinds of writing they're expected to do.

Synopsis:

Easy to use, flexible, and a great value. With just enough detail - and color-coded links that send students to more detail if they need it - this is the rhetoric that tells students what they need to know and resists the temptation to tell them everything there is to know. The first rhetoric designed for easy reference--with menus, directories, and a glossary/index that make it easy to use.

The Norton Field Guide to Writing with Handbook is 2 books in one--the rhetoric is up front, providing the guidance students need on writing and research; the handbook is in the back, helping them edit what they write.
