Excellent history of WWII impact on the French wine industry, the people involved both French and German and how relationships existed before during and after the war. First hand interviews lent a credibility and personal touch to the book that made me feel I was alive and experiencing that time as a participant. An excellent read for those interested in history or just someone who appreciates French wines.
