Original letter by Avante Price, age 7:
Dear President Obama,
You are just like a big me, because I am from Chicago and I am biracial and have curly hair. I live in Seattle now, but I'm still from Chicago.
How do you feel about being president?
I have an idea. Why don't you give everybody, even the homeless, ten dollars every day? Each person would need this money for food, clothes, toys, and many other needs. And don't forget to give the kids money, too.
My advice for you and your family is to be yourself and you will change the world. If I were president, I would try to make the world a better place.

Avante writes for Powells.com:
Dear President Obama,
I think, in the first couple of months, you are doing really well. For example, making the Stimulus Package and trying to stop the Iraq War.
The Stimulus Package is a government fund that helps pay for health insurance, and other public services that you use or do every day. The $787 billion will bail out companies in danger of shutting down, help schools raise money and give money to unemployed people. I think this is good because it helps people that are in danger of being homeless and keeps American people in schools and employees are getting paid and still working.
I'm glad you are stopping the Iraq War, because it was really bugging me. I think that war is stupid and everybody should just compromise about stuff instead of killing innocent people.
Finally, I hope you like being President.
