While researching wineries for Pacific Northwest: The Ultimate Winery Guide I drove through some scenic vistas. You will see some in the photographs in the book. I wanted to share a few of those, but thought it more fun if you, the reader, would reveal some of your discoveries.
I started the list with three that came to mind first. Please add yours.
1) The views from Erath and Bella Vida Wineries
This area west of traffic-clogged Dundee on Worden Hill Road, has to be one of my favorite drives (in my case bicycle rides) in the Willamette Valley. The wineries, on opposite sides of a creek valley, both offer expansive views of the Willamette Valley with acres of vineyards marching over rolling hills starting at your feet. This is where I take my Napa friends to show them scenic Oregon vineyards. The photograph is taken from Bella Vida looking towards Erath. And, both wineries have interesting personal and historic stories.
