Book News: Bill Murray, David Sedaris, and More

  • Because it's Monday and we all need this, Bill Murray Reads Emily Dickinson To Construction Workers:

  • Naked Movie: David Sedaris may finally be getting a big-screen adaptation. And no, surprisingly, it isn't "The Santaland Diaries."

Though it's one of the lesser-known essays in Naked, "C.O.G." may also be easier to adapt to film because it's not about the Sedaris family or even particularly focused around the author. David Sedaris's work often only succeeds because of his particular writing style, and stories like "Naked" or "Ashes" would be pretty unimaginable in movie form. "C.O.G." is more like a weird slice-of-life that could have happened to anyone...

The project is still very early in development, so don't place any bets on when it will hit theaters.
