Two quick bits:
- The Talk of the Nation show with Neil Gaiman is archived on this page. The subject was the elements of lasting children's fantasy — and Gaiman was joined by Christopher Paolini, author of Eragon and Eldest, and Tamora Pierce, author of Trickster's Queen. FYI: Paolini and Pierce were interviewed in tandem with Philip Pullman right on this very website.
- Slate has another piece about the film of Brokeback Mountain, asking: "Is Brokeback Mountain, as it's been touted, Hollywood's first gay love story? The answer — in a very positive sense, I think — is yes to the love story, no to the gay."
