The 2010 Puddly Winners

2010 Puddly AwardsPowell's customers, you've truly outdone yourselves. We asked for the best book you read last decade and were humbled by your overwhelming response. And, may we say, what good taste you have! (Ahem. Check out the number one pick from our employees.)

To celebrate, we're discounting the top 10 customer and employee picks — save 30% on new copies through the end of February.

So, without further ado, the winners of the Golden Galoshes are:

Fiction:
The Road by Cormac McCarthy

Nonfiction:
Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace... One School at a Time by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin

Congratulations are in order for the winners of our Puddly Award contest.

The $250 top prize went to Meloney from Ramona, CA.

The four $50 winners are Phil from Agoura Hills, CA; Lawrence from Levittown, NY; Cathy from Lee Summit, MO; and Olga from Buffalo Grove, IL.

Thanks to everyone who shared a glowing recommendation. If you're anything like us, you get a warm, fuzzy feeling knowing that your endorsement will help someone else discover (and fall in love with) that book that knocked your socks off.
