The Author Trading Card to End All Author Trading Cards

Here it is, folks — the last card in our first series of Powell's Author Trading Cards!

James Tate looks at us beside a copy of his latest poetry collection, Return to the City of White Donkeys, and if I'm not mistaken, he looks a tad wistful.

Perhaps he wishes there were more Author Trading Cards.

And perhaps there will be.

For the time being, let's take a moment to reflect on the first series. Hard to believe we've reached the end already. I'll always cherish these moments of revelation... the anticipation... the discovery that J. R. Moehringer was misprinted as J. M. Moehringer... the desire to find something different to say about each and every author... and, of course, above all else, the love. So much love!

And now it's over. But we'll always have the memories. And, of course, the collectible Author Trading Cards.

For a limited time, receive a full set — sixteen cards in all — of Powell's Author Trading Cards with the purchase of any featured title! The debut series includes rookies and veterans alike, packed with stats, bios, and career highlights. Order Return to the City of White Donkeys and be the first on your block to own this collectible set!
