At only four stories, this slim chapbook is easy to overlook. However, Dennis Norris II is not an author who is easy to ignore or forget. The writing in this collection is beautiful and confident in a way few authors can accomplish, much less debut authors. The stories are simple yet haunting, grounded in a reality that too few people know of, but that too many people experience. Dennis Norris II is someone whose work I'll be paying attention to for years to come. Recommended By Gary L., Powells.com
