Synopses & Reviews
Louise Pritchard, widowed, grief-stricken and several months pregnant, is left to run a remote Welsh farm single-handed. With the help of local vet Russell Trent and his family, and new farmhand Jason Grant, she is beginning to rebuild the farm's fortunes when a group of misguided schoolchildren free the dogs from a local refuge. Louise's herd of sheep suffer, and Tarquin, a beloved and very valuable ram, is badly injured. The birth of her baby brings further problems, and Louise has to reshape the way she lives in order to keep the farm solvent.
