After graduating from Columbia High School, and Fairleigh Dickinson University, she married and raised her four children in Short Hills, New Jersey.When the children had grown and left the nest, Gloria worked as an assistant nursery school teacher at the Jewish Community Center in West Orange, a job she loved.Her inspiration for the stories came mostly from working with the children at the J.C.C. on various projects. She also wanted something of her own to read to her grandchildren, whom she adores.
