Synopses & Reviews
Some events just can't be explained. Often we label these unexplainable events as miracles. We know that miracles are those moments when God works by suspending or supernaturally countering the natural order of creation, reason, and logic. However, consider, too, that He providentially orchestrates average circumstances in such a beyond-coincidence way that, whereas these events may not be miracles in the strictest definition, they bear the unmistakable imprint of God's hand. A Month of Miracles is a warm and inspiring collection of stories that bear witness to the unmistakable imprint of God's hand in the average circumstances of life. Written by a diverse group of six women, the stories presented in this 30-day devotional will remind readers that God's supernatural work happens in the ordinary moments. Readers will laugh, cry, and reminisce on their own life experiences as they are impressed with the truth that, in God's magnificent plan, miracles serve an even greater purpose than their immediate results: the unmistakable imprints of God's hand authenticate the gospel message because they cannot be explained by man's reason and they cause us to look for the Cause beyond ourselves. Women by Design is a ministry team comprised of six women frequently invited to host women's retreats and conferences. While each has an individual ministry, when they come together as Women by Design, their combined purpose is to share a message of wisdom seasoned with humor, boldness with mercy, and truth with joy. As a ministry team, these women meet together regularly to relate the new and exciting ways God is working in their lives and to pray. A Month of Miracles is a product of their praying andsharing times and their desire to inspire women to see God's hand at work in the ordinary events of life. Women by Design authors and speakers are Marie Alston, Joy Brown, Edna Ellison, Cherie Nettles, Tricia Scribner, and Kimberly Sowell. All six are Carolina girls, each living in a different city in North Carolina or South Carolina.
