Synopsis
A Quondam Banquet of Virtual Sachlichkeit further regards symbolism in architecture and how it is sometimes misperceived. Part II, with texts written between 6 May 1986 and 25 December 2001, comprises 'A Glass of "Blue Nun Wine," 'Sketches "cum Napkins," 'A Trip to the Rest Room" and 'Coquille St. Jacques." This volume's earliest sentence is 'Across the river from my hotel I saw the outline in the far desert as the African sun sank to darkness," and its last sentence is 'I can only imagine how intellectually facile you are with your native tongue."
