In the years 1748 and 1749, this difeafe'fag'ed at the Hague jit proved fatal: to a of people. The fever was evidently typhus. Doctor De I-iia''n defcrib's it as it fell under {his immediate ob'fervation, and relates ifeveral cafes. Unfortunately he pra'tifed blood-letting very freely, and was upon that account very unfuccefsful in his treatment of the difeafe.
